Ancelotti remains silent until the end of La Liga: "I have great affection for my club, my players, and my fans. I won't talk about my future before then."

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has stated that he will discuss his future when La Liga is over and not before out of respect for the club, stating that when he leaves it will be a fantastic farewell, and insisting that this Sunday's match against RC Celta is important to remain in the fight for La Liga.
"I have a lot of affection for my club, my players, and my fans, and at the same time, I respect them. I'll talk about my future on the 25th, and not before," the Italian declared in a press conference, believing he's not being disrespected by other coaches being talked about. "Absolutely not. I have a very good relationship with the club; we talk about everything, and we always have. The relationship with the club is fantastic. The information is what it is, and much of it isn't true," he stated.
He also acknowledged that he's "doing very well" emotionally. "I understand that you all want to talk about my future, but I don't. It's a lack of communication between you and me. I'm not angry, I'm very calm, I'm very happy. I know exactly what I have to do, and it's what I'm going to do, and it's not about talking about my future today. I know it disappoints you a little, but I don't care," he noted.
And he spoke about how he hopes his departure from the club will go, whenever it happens. "Whatever it is, it will be a fantastic farewell, because I have a lot of affection for the club, and the club shows me a lot of affection. I will never have a fight or argument with the club; I never have in six years, and I never will. I will not allow an argument to take place on the last day, be it May 25, 2025, 2026, or 2030. Whatever day it is, it will be a very beautiful day," he ventured.
He also revealed that he had spoken with president Florentino Pérez, although regarding the Champions League elimination. "There was a bitter taste in my mouth because we were so close. I think everyone understood that the team did very well, we're very close to winning. The bad taste in my mouth was due to the defeat, but I have nothing to reproach the team for, which tried everything to win," he stated.
"On a personal level, no, but on a professional level, it's been a more complicated season than usual, compared to last season, which was a perfect season. We've had more problems that we've tried to fix throughout the season. It hasn't been a spectacular season for us, but there are five games left, and anything can happen in five games. What can't happen is for us to let our guard down in these five games. We have to try to win them all, and we'll see what happens. We're going to give everything to try to win these five games, because so far, it's not a good season, but if you're able to win, it could be a very good season," he expressed.
Thus, he insisted that he's only thinking about LaLiga EA Sports. "My idea is to prepare well for tomorrow's game, try to win it, and then prepare well for the next game, which will be very important because it gives us the opportunity to fight even harder for this competition," he said. "We think about the present, we think about the next games, we think we can fight," he asserted.
"We want to fight for LaLiga until the last second of the last game, no matter what. The team is focused on this; we're not thinking about anything else. We've had a lot of injuries this past week: Rüdiger, Mendy, Alaba... We're convinced we can put a good team out there and win tomorrow's game," he continued.
He also praised this Sunday's opponent. "Celta is a very good team, as evidenced by the fact that they came very close to beating Barcelona recently. They're a very well-organized team. We've had a week to prepare for this match, and we've prepared well. We're convinced we can get our best out of tomorrow's game. It's an important match to stay in the fight for LaLiga," he stated.
The Italian coach, who acknowledged that Jesús Vallejo "has more options" to play with the absences, praised the team's defensive and offensive performance. "We've improved quite a bit defensively, because we've had some clean sheets, and this means our defensive work has improved. But in order to improve our defensive work, we've lost a bit of quality and effectiveness up front," he emphasized.
Finally, Ancelotti stated that Arda Güler "has progressed very well." "In the future, he'll have even more of a role; he's showing quality, he's showing more continuity in his game, and he can also play as an inside midfielder. I think he's going to be a fantastic inside midfielder, not just a winger, because he has a good sense of play and good handling. He's going to be a very important player for Real Madrid in the future because there aren't many players with that kind of profile, with the quality he has in midfield," he concluded.
